Transport needed for flooded gardens

Posted: 07/04/2014 at 13:04

Hi Ryan, I'm along the coast just north of Worthing and chicky is in Guildford.  So, anyone in East or West Sussex or Surrey  who needs plants collected, now has three contact names.

Good morning chicky, I will definitely be around late May/early June so no problem with meeting.

I'm about ten miles north of Worthing in West Sussex.  I have an estate car and while I haven't got the time to travel to Somerset, I would be happy to do a round trip of about 100 miles if anyone would like me to transport plants.

Certainly no JS and RdT.  Everyone else is just about the perfect team.

Bed with varying light conditions - how to use shaded area

Posted: 23/03/2014 at 19:04

I have just re-read this posting and realise that my OH needs to move his two gooseberry bushes.  They are in full sun and rarely produce more than a few berries.  In addition to that, they are in the middle of one of my south facing flower beds and really annoy me.  I am aware that I tend to monopolise most of the garden so have put up with them. So, it's out with the spade tomorrow and off to a shady part of garden.

Well written, scroggin, Swiss Sue and punkdoc and everyone else further up the list who is positive about MD and GW.  I love seeing Nigel and don't begrudge the few seconds MD spends with him.  After all, what can you do with ten seconds apart from pull up a few weeds.

Helleborus argutifolius?

My comment overlapped with nutcutlet's and from the amount of posting she does on this site, I'm sure she is far more knowledgeable than me.  Maybe my memory is wrong and I never bought a euphorbia!!!!!

Chicky, I think it's a euphorbia.  I bought one a few years ago but it didn't do much and I dug it up and gave it away.  However, since then, like you, I get large plants growing between the house and the pathway paving slabs.  Just can't remember what type of euphorbia it is but I'm sure someone on here will know as I have seen it in other gardens.

Although I haven't got room for a wormery at the moment Edd, I have so enjoyed reading all the info you have provided.  I'm very keen on composting and have learnt so much from this site on how to achieve good results.  I'm sure all the info you have provided will spur many gardeners to act on your advice.
