Hello Clarington I have just read your post with interest. When I asked if people counted the cost of gardening  I made a small wager with some of my allotment friends that not many people would be bothered. After seeing the first replies I said in a post that folks who gardened did it for love and beggar the cost I meself have gardened for more years than I can think of.I havent bought any veg in years or soft fruits I am type 2 diabetic but the exercise I get digging plus cycling to me plot keeps me fit and I like think sane.My wife thinks I'm nutsbut she loves me really.I'm 74 this year. Keep up the gardening Clarington and as Winston Churchill said Keep buggering on.
