Posted: 23/03/2013 at 17:49

we have had frogs croaking intermittentently over the last month but no activity in the pond  I found frogspawn on the garden that i think the cat may have fished out!  We have loads of frogas and newts usually and lots of spawn this year seeems odd and very late. i hope they can catch up when it gets warmer

just bought mtickets for Chelsea centenary OH won't go as he's bored so just girlies day. Mate is brill at getting us on the right tube and it's usually fuss free also bin to GW live, Harrogate spring shows, Tatton park, Southport, love em all for different reasons but always spend too much.  this year I'm not going to spend as often plants bought don't last the year up north!

In some ways starting from scratch is easier than spending the money to change what you have!!

Sounds like you need a good bottle of wine and some garden books for pics and ideas then OH seems to be the practical one. Have you any pics? I've done some more tidying  and oiled the deck so just trying to sort our 'top' deck now but with rain forecast tomorrow looks like I won't be taking pics. I love looking through them for pleasure these are pics in my last garden which i started from scratch and was only there 2 years

Yes my OH doesn't really get involved unless I ask for something he's learning not to interfere as I'm quite specific with my ideas once I decide what i want where!  i have extended the rockery/alpines/scree are in front of the deck and I will allow it to develop as I see what it needs.  I'm all for living with it and getting inspiration unexpectedly  I am enjoying the dry weather at the mo' and wandering around trimming back and pulling up weeds do you like this time of year in the garden with the anticipation of what's to come?
