Orchids are my guilty pleasure houseplants and in our conservatory we have a large ficus that keeps the humidity up.We also manage to get poinsettias to reflower here. Each year my husband complains that he can't use the breakfast bar and I have to move everything around but they creep back!

I planted this iris many years ago just 4 bulbs and moved them into a mixed pot a couple of years ago . Everyone commented on them this year and I'd really like to plant some more. Can anyone name it please?

I have just been outside in the rain to look what needs doing in the garden. I spotted 2 goldfinches on our niger feeder. 1 was very drab looking but had all the marking on the face and wings. i can only assume it is a jouvenile from this year. Anyway the robin was nearby ready to clean the deck after them and i'm sure i heard a pigeon too. even the murky weather can't detract us from the beauty so close.

Hi LL, just looking at your pics again as they are inspiring! Out of interest does your wisteria flower? and how long did it take? I planted one in a large pot early this year and don't really know how to treat it. Love looking at the pics 'cos some of them remind me of what I'm aiming for
