Potted Lilly Companions Please

I have the same problem, I am going to try some different things in them and see what happens .

What veggies are you planning on growing 2013?

I shall try cherry tomato again , red onion, spring onion, lettuce varieties, cucumber , basil, strawberries, chillies, and beet root . All in pots but some mostly in the greenhouse unless that is we get a wonderful summer ....hmmm ????

I hadn't realised you could do this, I have heavy clay soil which is currently solid, if I am too late now I will be doing this next year .

Growing Sweet Peas

I started mine early spring last yr using John innes seed and used toilet rolls for the first time, best sweet peas I have had and plan to grow more this yr. I wonder if I start indoor window ledges I could start them now .

Just above zero north Cumbria , we have pretty much missed the snow this year which I'm happy about ....hope it stays that way !

Raised herb bed

I have a raised triangular herb bed on my deck which has been brilliant now for past 3 years , I have beds at the back with geranium and also pots beside with chives , morning glory, nicotiana etc so get plenty of buzzing visitors.

I havnt seen beech grove I will look forward to this, I too wish there were more gardening progs, always football and my other half doesn't even watch sport.

Ohhhh I hadn't even noticed that a-z , must record that...my other half will be pleased I'm already filling the planner with gardening !

I want to re do couple of beds in back corners , need some shrubs I think for height. Also hoping to extend pergola round to incorporate a swing seat and more screening from next door ....along with the other thousand things on my to do list ????
