HELLO FORKERS!

Posted: 18/10/2013 at 10:06

Morning all, took me ages to get here. Site very slow and page kept coming up blank. Or is it my laptop?

Supermarket today. Need more potting compost, wish they'd hurry up and have their autumn promotion.

My old handbags are still in a cupboard. My clothes from when I was thinner are in the spare room wardrobe, you never know, might fit one day!

Can't keep nail varnish for more than a couple of days, always chip it.

My MIL was lovely, taught me to garden.

OH bought a new computer. Couldn't manage without it.

Help needed for a novice gardener

A mummy hare had 4 babies in my big herbaceous border a few years ago! And the deer ate all my roses. Is that what you mean, Jim? Oh, and a badger died in the lean-to, but from the look of it I think it was old age.

Do tomatoes with blight taste OK? I would have thought frying them would kill the fungus.

Today I feel so happy....

That farm sounds idyllic, but I bet a lot of hard work goes into it. I'm glad you're still with us Pentillie, someone asked about you recently and I remembered you as the one who started this lovely thread.

Well done for the weight loss pg. That sounds strange, I think of you as Bev.

It was a lovely day today, planted up 5 troughs and a pot this afternoon.

Disaster, last night OH spilt glass of wine in his lap top. After lots of mopping up computer came on, so he did a back up. Big relief. This morning it's not working.

Morning all.

My messages are all in the wrong order too.

Lily, whenever there is a problem that page always comes up with oops and a squashed tomato.

Yes, meant blue flush, but had to look at Google pictures as Wild Swan doesn't seem to have arrived in Dordogne yet.

Talkback: Give borders an autumn boost

Now I've learnt something from this. Mine was labelled in the French Garden Centre as Wilmottianum, but on looking it up I'm pretty sure it's Plumbaginoides. It's not very tall and it spreads.
