THAT'S GREAT NEWS GARDENER JOHN!

ANYBODY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT BONE MARROW CANCER?

THANK YOU PANSYFACE. DOES THAT MEAN YOU AREN'T TAKING ANY TREATMENT? I THINK I WOULD ACCEPT IT. ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU GOING. NEW DRUGS FOR CANCER ARE BEING FOUND ALL THE TIME SO I WOULD WANT TO KEEP GOING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE IN CASE THEY FIND A CURE. CHEMO ISN'T ALL THE TIME, YOU TAKE IT IN COURSES. HOPE I'M NOT BEING TOO NOSEY, I WAS A NURSE, BUT I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BONE MARROW CANCER. HAVE NOW LOOKED AT THE NHS SITE.

SOUNDS AS THOUGH YOU HAVE A FIGHTING SPIRIT PANSYFACE.

YOU ASK IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW MORE? DO YOU MIND IF I ASK - DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL ILL AND DOES IT HURT? DO THE CHEMO TABLETS UPSET YOU? DON'T ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.

WE ARE ALL BEHIND YOU HERE.

WELCOME BACK PANSYFACE  XX

Obelixx, we haven't had floods here, they are further north, but there has been a heck of a lot of rain and the rivers are muddy and swollen. My roses are very battered, OH has been dead heading this morning. One good thing, I've hardly watered this year! But I haven't worn a summer dress yet either.

Puncdoc, I found your post very moving. I wish I'd joined a forum all those years after 1st OH died when I was on my own in an isolated house, but Internet had hardly started and I was computer illiterate anyway. 2nd OH has taught me a lot about computers. I like having forum gardening friends who speak my language when I live abroad. But now, recently, a new gardening club has started and there is the new Open Gardens scheme, mostly English.

Morning all.

Been to stay with daughter to help clean her new house before they move in today. Haven't been here as her Internet was down. Then yesterday I was out all day with the Gardening Club visiting gardens in the Charente.

Come back to find poor pansyface has been banned. What on earth for? She wasn't a troublemaker, she had problems with her eyesight and didn't like the new forum site. I don't like it either and I don't even have eyesight problems. What are the GW team thinking of?

And, to cap it all, she has now found out she has cancer. If she or her OH sees this I would like to say I'm so sorry about it all and I hope the docs can do something and the GW team come to their senses. She could do with support at a time like this and we are all her friends.

Clari, Verdun said he was taking a break.

I hope Dove is enjoying her holiday.

What is your weather like?

Morning all.

I'm sorry about your aunt, Dove and Wonky. (((Hugs)))

Going to daughter 2 soon to clean the floors of her her new house before they move in as I have a floor polisher and a carpet shampooer.

Still raining.

DD, I've visited 2 other Open Gardens in the pouring rain, we ate cake, drank tea and coffee, it was fun! There was a gap in the rain each time to rush out and have a look at the gardens. Forecast is good for the weekend of 11th, 12th. Are you still coming to my Strawberry Tea? I need to know numbers next week for shopping.

Still pouring now though.

I wonder if there is a Gardens We Have Visited for this year? Here is last year's.

There are photos of some of the gardens you've been talking about, Beth Chatto included. Also those lovely wire fairies from Fidget's visit to Trentham.

We will be going to Norfolk in June so I may have some photos after that.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad, Chicky. I hope he makes a good recovery.

I'm amazed to find that most of the dahlias I grew from seed last year and planted in various beds are now about 6" tall.

I'm about to make strawberry jam. I will need it for my charity Church Strawberry Tea on the 11th.
