Thank you. Matty is baking as I type!

Verdun, there will be price tickets on the plants for sale! It is for charity.

Katherine, I live NE of Périgueux, about an hour from Sarlat.

Hello this is Matty.

I am using Lizzies Log On as I can't remember password.

I am now an expert in removing goose grass  in places it was climbing up the tree trunks. I did not realise just how it affects other plants but a couple of delphiniums and a hosta have very distorted leaves where it was. They are now looking better though

I have some photos and will post them later

As some of you know, my garden will be open on Sunday 17th May, so I'm starting this to show you some photos, starting with weeding. It's more stressful than I thought, but OH and Matty are helping.

When I came back to Dordogne from the Malvern Spring with Matty the goosegrass was horrendous. Here's before and after.

Liri, sounds a lovely day out, have been to Fountains and Harlow Carr.

Having coffee break so will do an Open Garden thread.

HELLO FORKERS!

Morning all.

Dosed up with painkillers and decongestant, had reasonable night, pain still there but not as sharp. Thank you for hugs and good wishes.

I could start a thread with photos of my Open Day if you like. I was sad that the tulips were over, but the roses are coming out. Rained in the night, so won't need to water today.

Weed or not

I don't prune mine and it still sends up suckers.

Weed or not

It looks like suckers from a prunus tree. Doesn't even have to be that close to the tree. I've got one that does it, can't pull them out. I cut them off.

Garden is open on Sunday. Done masses of weeding and planting and Matty has helped with rest periods. But today I was digging out some very solid clay before digging in some better soil, manure and compost. Stepped over plants with very heavy trug of clay and coughed. Still have a cough. Think I've pulled a muscle in my ribcage. Hurts. Coughing is not helping. Ouch.

Having a go at a cut flower patch...
