EU. In or Out?

Posted: 20/05/2016 at 17:28

That's wise, Tetley. I don't think the thread should be closed, but the subject should be stuck to without upsetting anyone. We can beg to differ. The world would be a boring place if we all thought the same. I don't agree with you over Europe but it's good to read what people think. For me, as an ex-pat, it would be best to stay in. I also think it would be best for the UK to stay in, but it's interesting to read the other views.

That sounds yummy RB. Would rather have it at tea time than breakfast time.

How do people know if someone has blocked them?

EU. In or Out?

Have been reading back a bit. Verdun said "I receive quite a number of pm's but would never publish them.....doesn't it cross the line?  Would you trust someone who did this?" When we argued about Christianity Verdun told everyone about a PM I'd sent him because I was hurt by things he had said. He didn't publish all of it but he quoted bits of it out of context. I wasn't the Christian who sent him venomous PMs, but I did tell him I was upset by his attack. Everyone should be free to express themselves, whether right or wrong, so long as they don't deliberately hurt others.

Hostafan, that's why I've kept out of it. But I think out would be a catastophe. Wonder if I'll get hate mail

Ouch, Lesley, did the doc say how soon it will heal? I hope you can sleep.

That sounds hopeful Hosta, hope it works.

Hollie Hock has never been a troll. I thought Wonkie put it very well.

Grey and cool again. Last time OH's friends came we sat in the garden. Looks as though this time we'll eat inside with the woodburner lit. I haven't worn a summer dress yet this year.

I'm not too young to remember Ena Sharples and Minnie Caldwell. Sometimes I think I remember things  from long ago better than 2 or 3 years ago.

Maybe not a garden, Panda, but what about a Pantomime?

Friends of OH are coming to stay tomorrow night so I've been doing HW all afternoon. OH has helped with the hoovering. I've cleaned the spare bedroom and it's ensuite, washed the stairs (long overdue ), cleaned all the pictures and family photos on the landing, another bathroom and the spare bedroom that grandchildren sleep in (realised I hadn't done it since they last came).

Now about to cook fish, bream, with asparagus. Realise kitchen is very untidy. We sit at the kitchen table with our laptops and loads of papers and discarded items of clothing that never seem to get put away. Well, this year you never know if you are going to need and extra pullover or fleece. Not that warm at the moment.

What is your weather like?

16°, cloudy in Dordogne. Recently England has been warmer than here, but here is a place people come to for the sun. Not that I mind, I don't like it too hot.
