Morning all. Couldn't get on here earlier, kept saying "error".

Going to Tesco soon, when the washing machine has finished. Have been cleaning windows. Will be a quiet normal sort of day, but we are going out to a restaurant this evening.

Bavette is flank. Found this from Google "Bavette steak is cut from the flank, which makes for a more fatty, but very tasty steak. ... Traditionally cooked by slow braising, it is more popular now as a regular steak cooked quickly on a high heat with bags of flavour. A firm favourite of celebrity TV chef Tom Kerridge."

But it wasn't at all fatty, very lean in France. The French cook it on a high heat and have it rare. I like it with fried shallots.

The camera charger worked!

I see Dove posted before me, I started typing then went to watch Flog It as they were talking about Bletchley Park where my mother worked in the war. Fairy, there was a break between the hot chocolate and the beer! But we are probably a bit strange anyway

Back from Norwich. Met Dove at the Lamb, she arrived first but we weren't late, took the Park and Ride. She had coffee and we had hot chocolate, no cake, no scones. We chatted then Dove had another coffee and we had a half bitter each, after all it was a pub not a teashop, but we did indulge in a packet of crisps. Talked for 2 1/2 hours, went by in a flash!

Then Dove went for her bus and we went for a look round Norwich. We stopped at the market and ate shellfish out of plastic pots with plastic forks and I bought a dressed crab and some vegetables and a punnet of raspberries.

I bought a housewarming present for the young family next door who have moved to another little house in the village. Their landlord wants to do the next door cottage up and when he's done it he'll put the rent up. It's tiny, half the size of our cottage, I think they'll do better in the new place with 3 bedrooms.

We went to Maplin and they had a charger for my camera battery, it's charging at the moment.

Having bavette steak tonight, that I bought at the farmers market.

Morning all.

Beautiful paintings Pat.

Wish OH would get a move on, waiting for him so we can go to the Park and Ride for the bus to meet Dove for coffee.

Fabulous photos. Glad you are still having a good time, Chicky.

After church we went to a village called Hingham where they were having a crafts fair. OH bought me a pretty apron as I don't have one at the cottage. We had bacon butties and hot chocolate for lunch there and the village school children sang carols. Then we went to the monthly antiques fair that they have in another hall. There was some lovely silver but it was rather expensive.

Hingham church is where some of my ancestors are buried under black slabs in front of the alter.

Thank you, Dove. When we are next in Norwich I'll try Maplins, I know where it is, I just didn't know where to buy one. Any chance of seeing you?

Strictly is back!

I agree with SG Lily, as usual!

Think Susan should go.
