HELLO FORKERS! September Edition

That's impressive GWRS, what a sad waste of life war is.

I never had a teddy bear. But I do have one of those yellow mixing bowls. MIL was horrified I didn't have one when I was a newly wed so she rushed off and bought one for me in Woolies.

Must go and see if I can find Dove's Norfolk thread.

Morning all.

Need a trip to the supermarket, but mustn't buy food for me! I always put on weight when we go to England. Must be something in the air! Or could it be the real ale?

Going to Bordeaux tomorrow, early, inauguration of our new Chaplain, then friends are coming to stay on Sunday.

We arrived back in France this evening. Plane landed with a huge thump, I was a bit scared, but journey was good compared with Yvie's.

Hot here, 26° at 8pm. Housesitter said it's been very hot. Our room was like an oven, despite the shutters being shut. I opened the windows, then OH went up later and left the lights on, when I went back there where several hornets in there, attracted by the light.

We don't have a lawn to mow anymore and some of the shrubs have sunburn. Don't know when we last had a summer with so little rain.

Morning all.

Back to France today. Hope to see you soon, DD.

Dove, we had a sausage roll in the Adnams café and stopped at the pretty pub in Hoxne for dinner on the way home.

Thank you Fairy, they are just snaps and the blue sky helped!

It was lovely, warm and sunny in Southwold today. Don't know where to put photos not good enough for camera thread and not gardens or plants. Granny's old house is the white one in the middle.

Morning all.

Going to Southwold today. Used to go there for family holiday when I was a child as Granny lived there.

But it's drizzling here, not forecast. The washing was still damp last night as it was muggy so left it out, now it's damper and some I need to pack to take back to France tomorrow. Hope it clears up.

Never said hello this morning. New friend came round to take us on her walk. Was an exercise sort of walk, not a stroll, but we talked a lot. Then OH and I went to Peter Beales Classic Roses for brekkies, great bacon baps. The garden is still full of roses and colour.

Been rather warm and muggy today. Going out for dinner in a local pub which has just re-opened after 2 years. Rather pretty with a new thatched roof.

Sorry to hear about poor Sebastian.

We had a good day,  went on the steam train, Holt to Sherringham. Looked around Sheringham and had lunch. took the train back, looked around Holt and had tea in a tea shop.

Looking forward to watching it this evening. Haven't got a bib in the cottage, better find a table napkin.
