Hello Forkers.....It's October!

Posted: 03/10/2017 at 17:33

I felt so tired and low this morning that I didn't see about your daughter's leg this morning Joyce. I hope the pain of it has eased and she makes a quick recovery.

Went to the supermarket, then OH took me out to the Chinese serve yourself that we call the Wok place. I'm trying to lose weight so it's a good choice as you can choose the food and they do lots of salads. Can be a bad choice as there are also lots of yummy things deep fried in batter, but I steered clear of them for once. Have lost half a stone so far.

Love this sort of thread, been following Slum's garden thread. Lovely transformations.

Here are some of my garden from a bedroom window. My garden was started in 1991, it had been a farmyard and was full of long grass, brambles and nettles. We had to add some topsoil. Behind the walls the earth is quite deep, but the lawns don't have much topsoil in places. It is in Dordogne, France.

First one is in 1991, then all in May, 1994, 2004, 2016.

I have others of different beds as they were made. Not all the garden is shown in those photos.

I don't think the right one went home either.

In the French version they have 2 paddles, for technique and artistic impression, but I think the whole thing is a lower standard.

Was having brekkies this morning when son 2 rang to remind me I had promised to babysit today. I'd completely forgotten! Thank God he rang. I mentioned it earlier just before dashing out. They were going out to a posh lunch given by a couple of gay French men who own a chateau who didn't want the children to come, so they only took the baby. Have been cooking, stuffed sweet peppers, since I got home.

Dacha, 27 is the age that most retired ladies are on here. We aren't getting older any more.  We thought it sounded a nice age.
