Oops, think Chicky had already added the above link!

Here is Bressingham, in June.

And another one -  http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/the-potting-shed/garden-visits/983648.html/  it has 5 or 6 garden visits on it, including Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Beth Chatto, Harlow Carr and my visit to Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

So it's well worth a look.

HELLO FORKERS! July Edition

Morning all. I loved Brownies too, also a Pixie. Hated Guides, stayed long enough to go to camp then left. Think I'd grown out of it.

Blue sky and sunshine here. Must do a bit more garden tidying (weeding and cutting) before it gets too hot.

And here is the gardens we have visited thread that Chicky started. Didn't come up when I did a search.

http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/garden-design/gardens-we-have-visited-2016/984442.html I wish I had put my photos there, but Chicky has done links. I will put some there, but now it is bedtime.

I did a search for Tatton and found this, would have missed it otherwise. Thank you for the photos Mrs Garden.

Gardens we have visited 2016

Just found this thread. Tried the search for gardens we've visited, but it wouldn't do it in date order so I didn't have much luck. Thank for sending the links for my visit to East Ruston and the Helmingham Hall one.

There are some other gardens on different threads, but I'm a bit at sea now the forum has changed.

I will have some more photos, but now I'm going to bed.

Front garden. Ideas on plants

If its a bit dry and shady you could try Brunnera "Jack Frost", heucheras with different coloured leaves, certain geraniums, such as geranium phaeum  a white one or dark "Samobar" with two tone leaves. But it would be bare in winter so try some snowdrops or violas.

Bare wall ideas

There are lovely plants you can grown up walls, but it does depend whether it's in sun or shade. My favourites are roses, honeysuckle and clematis. The wall looks big enough for quite vigorous plants. I would have honeysuckle Belgica and Serotina as one is early and the other late. Have a look at these sites http://www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/type/climbing-roses   and  http://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/

I'm afraid I'm not keen on Pyracantha, very prickly and can get out of control if not kept pruned.

Don't plant too close to the wall as the soil tends to be dry. A wider bed always looks better than a thin bed.
