Hi these evergreen bushes were planted up against the fence when I bought the house and I want to take cuttings. Can anyone identify what they are?

Thanks

Thanks I just wasn't sure with it possibly being a hybrid I would either get normal delphiniums or something else.

My son planted a few seeds at a playgroup. My wife thought they were sunflowers which they don't appear to be. Does anyone know what they are?

Thanks

Grow lighting

i just use the energy saving bulbs I have a couple 6500k colour temperature and 2700k and have grown all sorts early. It works although I am not sure if it is cost effective or not and some plants don't like the extra heat etc from the bulbs/light.  I just use those cheap clip on lamp holders you can get from poundstretcher etc

Water Retaining Crystals

I didn't realise this I have added these crystals to my pots and hanging baskets this year as I work shifts and cant always water them. I wish I hadn't now. I assumed it just break down into something harmless.

Osteospermum

No they don't not in my experience anyway but you can easy take cuttings as most aren't fully hardy and will probably not survive the winter although mine did this year.
