Foxglove

Posted: 19/04/2015 at 22:07

I used to grow them but now have a 1 year old and have removed them as they are reasonably toxic but its up to yourself. I figured better safe than sorry. I have left my delphinums in situ as i think you have to eat a reasonable amount ot be fatal and I have read they dont taste nice plus are at the back of the border.

The adverts are generally tailored to what you are searching for on google etc. If i have been buying baby items i get loads of adverts from them etc. You probably have malware on your computer

violas/pansies

Yeah they have just been started off a different time. I have had violas in a pot from summer that self seeded and created new flowers all winter.

Wilted seedlings! :(

The plants in the first picture look like maybe they have not had enough light and too much heat. What plants are they? Some plants grow better in cooler conditions like sweat peas for instance.

Anyone done any gardening today?

How much topsoil I should put in on chalk to grow turf

Posted: 23/03/2015 at 17:16

I know my parents dug up and area that was previously gravel and had hardcore in it and turfed it. They dug a little over a foot deep and the turf is doing ok there. However you going to need a lot of top soil for 50 square meters.
