Well so far so good. Just hope it doesn't start to show up. I love full size ones but my garden is too small.

yes its still there the reason im growing another is all my lupins are sprouting bar one and im planning ahead incase its not going to come back to replace the lupin. I really liked the hollyhock last year. Definitely something I would recommend growing along with a variety of magic fountain delphinium I grew. Both flowed well first year in both my garden and the many I grew for my parents garden. Both hollyhock and delphinium are sprouting new shoots aswell so look to have survived.

Does hollyhock queeny come true from seed. its one of the dwarf types that only grows 60cm. I cant find my seeds off last year and the one I grew flowered brilliantly. I have just collected loads of seeds of this plant but am not sure if its a hybrid or will come true to seed.

Wind damage, greenhouse

My B&q plastic one lasted all of last year with no damage but this year it broke at the base and blew away. I have repaired it but given the wind speed and the fact one of my hanging baskets pulled the bracket out of the wall the wind was that strong I don't think its too bad. I did however loose all of my sweetpeas.

Thanks well i'm from the northeast too and yes I realise they die down. I wanted something that would grow over the shed in summer but not seal the moisture in over winter and rot it or stop me painting it. That's brilliant ill order the seeds today. I was going to go for purple/ pink one or would you say whites definitely what to go for thanks for the reply

I had a great display last year thanks to the advice from this forum and this year am growing even more for a bigger display. One thing I was going to ask is does anyone have any advice for growing perennial sweet pea I am wanting to create a hedge to screen off my shed. The questions were is it invasive, when do I sow and will it flower this year?

Have you sown any seeds yet this year?
