They not frost hardy so would imagine that would have killed them. Supose you could still try and plant them its worth a try.

I bought the 120 litre verve b&q compost this year and it was good stuff night and day better than last years compost.

What plants do you use to ensure clematis roots are in the shade?

The thing with clematis is you don't want to plant something that's going to compete too much with the clematis roots. So don't plant anything too close or deep rooted . Even though roses go lovely with clematis its important to have a reasonable planting distance. I have mini hebes infront of some of mine and that seems to work well. I also use annuals such as snap dragon or bedding dahlia, carnations but again keep them a reasonable planting distance in front.

Aure I seen this in morrisons at on point last year very cheaply. They not there at the moment as I was looking for some campanula but worth keeping in mind,

Just curious about possible trying to grow this plant. Does it self sow and can I direct sow into the garden, Also if I start them indoors when is the best time. Thanks

I bought some bare rooted phlox paniculata for 1 pound at lidl. Do I plants them now straight into the soil pot them up in the house or mini greenhouse? Thanks for any help.
