G'night Dean

Inka - so sad about your friend - cyber hugs to you both x

Surprising to hear how many of us - myself included - sat on the sidelines before getting the courage to join in.

Evening all - bit late reporting for duty as I've been doing my voluntary day in school.  Took well over an hour to get there this morning instead of 20 mins - found out later it was  due to 8 accidents on one stretch of dual carriageway (both sides) caused by black ice.  Sorry I missed advent competition, but my guess would have been wrong anyway .  You have lovely chooks Geoff -  do all the girls say that.

Hope Becks & Jess are sufficiently cuddled and feeling a bit better today.  Think the presents today are a ring and some sweeties.   Cyber hugs for you too Jo. x

Nice to meet you Lisa & Nigel - this site is very addictive.  Hope you will join in all the chat.  You will notice some stranger than usual names at the moment as quite a few posters have adopted festive names for December.

What's the weather like in your area?

Well it's been a lovely day here with lots of sunshine and just now as the local children held their annual lantern parade prior to Santa's arrival and firework display it stared pouring down!

Well, I thought the Daily Mail would find plenty to say about the royal pregnancy but they have now printed some pictures titled "Forensic artist generates computer images of William and Kate's future child".  I also thought, like Gary did, they would ease up on weather predictions but today's story is "High pressure over Scandinavia raises hopes of a white Christmas as freezing -8C conditions contiue across Britain".  Glad I only read this paper on line and not waste money buying it.  Thank you - rant over!!!

These are normal welshcakes Geoff, but the ones I made yesterday are in the shape of christmas trees and stars.  They are sort of fruity cakey scone cooked on the hob on a bakestone (griddle or heavy based frying pan).  Will have to send some to your locker for you to try.

Becks, sorry to hear you're still suffering from that cold - it's time it went now!  My guess for today's mystery present is some ready mixed paint.

Afternoon Forkers - great name Nola.   Lovely sunny day here so far

Geoff can this smiley now be renamed "pensive" and used accordingly? I think Choc today is a snowman.

Flo - love buying small kitchen gadgets. I bought some star, heart, bell and moon shaped pastry cutters in Dunelm on Sunday and have now made Festive Welshcakes.  BJ - it's so funny when dogs get embarrassed when you laugh at them.
