Hi Inka - sounds a rough night you've had there.  I have the 8th Peter James "Not Dead Yet" on my Christmas wish list  - an essential escape from the Christmas holiday TV.

I'm off to make something to eat now - looking forward to SCD at Wembley tonight.  See you later .....

Ha ha Pottiepam - I see you've had success with the Santa tactic too .

I'm feeling very envious of all these lovely dogs on here lately  (green with envy not feeling sick!)

I simply don't believe it

I was quite surprised to see a butterfly today and a Bergenia in full flower.

can just see me & Natalie on BGT.

Becks -  Have you tried the "Santa brings lovely new toys to kind little girls who send their old toys to all the poor children who have no toys at all" tactic yet?

We buried our dead goldfish in the garden and put a little plant there too.

Becks - it used to have a playmate which died a few years ago but she was just as miserable then.  She only gets excited if you go up close to the tank and I think that's just because food might be coming her way!  She can stay in that position for ages - think she's doing yoga for goldfish

I'm with the rest of you bookworms.  I read the last few pages of a good book really slow because I don't want it to end.  Am enjoying Peter James' series about  DI Roy Grace set in Brighton and the best thing is there are quite a few of them so don't feel too bad when one ends as there's another book waiting.

Here's Natalie in suspended animation:

Afternoon all - lovely day it's been here.  Here is my tale on the subject of pet fish.

Someone thought it would be fun to give my son a goldfish for his 21st birthday - just before he left home - and 9 years later I am still looking after her. Don't know if it's a she but we call her Natalie.  She spends her days suspended vertically in the corner of her tank but gets over excited when I feed her any vine weevils I find.

Off to read the rest of the posts now .....
