BJay - I've had suspect stuff from Santander too.  They informed me that all their mail will be addressed to you by name - never Dear Customer or anything like that. That often sorts out the bogus ones.

Geoff - are we good to go on the Advent Calendar?   Your hens sound very happy layers - have they all got names?

Our blue tit nest box has been used each year for the past 5/6 years - its never been touched by as and the birds spend a lot of time on renovations to get it just right before moving in each Spring.

autumn colour

 certainly cheered me up too Marion.  Lovely to be still enjoying the garden mid November.

Blasted squirrels!

I heard that a thick covering of autumn leaves masks the smell and fools the squirrel - haven't tried it myself so don't know if it works but everyone has plenty of leaves around at the moment.
