Well remembered Geoff - when I was young my dad used to have a Morris 1000

What's the weather like in your area?

Cloudy but mild so can do a few more outside jobs - still a few things with flowers on.

Hope you're having a bit of a rest this week Frank - apart from testing some recipes on your new cooker.  Glas it was a mild and sunny day for all Remembrance Sunday parades.

Afternoon everyone, time for a sit down and, dare I say it, some Fruit & Nut chocolate. My excuse is I've done quite a bit of work in the garden this morning - dividing some very big clumps of primula and replanting and having a good tidy up outside potting shed which is a general dumping ground where we put things "for the time being".

Hope Mr Lottie will feel better soon - the shock is as bad as the pain sometimes.

Can't think about Christmas shopping yet - I'm a bit of a last minute shopper and usually get some great bargains when things start being reduced.

I used to love Tales of the Riverbank and I think it was called Zoo Time when Jonny Morris used to do all the animal voices.

Glad your over yesterday's ordeal Jean - you're due a quiet few days now

I used to listen to Radio Luxembourg with earplug (just the one)  in bed late at night, hiding under the covers so my parents wouldn't catch me!  The signal would always disappear in the middle of any favourite songs though!

Right - time to go and do something houseworky now .  Catch you later ~~~~~

Chris - hope your daughter will soon be feeling better.  It's a nightmare the way you are sometimes treated when legitimately off work.  I was off for a long time with a slipped disc and had to see almost everyone,  HR's reason for my interview was something politically correct like "Employer's Duty of Care".  I told them it was too painful for me to travel to see them . They settled for a phone interview which was over in about 30 seconds!  It is upsetting though when you are unwell and made to feel as if you are cheating - surely a doctor's paper is enough for these people.

Oh no, Flo's got me going on another song now - "On white horses let me ride away, to my world of dreams so far away let me run,to the sun ... "

Geoff - not much room in that getaway car, but don't worry I'll help out

Talkback: Planting acorns

Posted: 12/11/2012 at 11:30

When we emptied our large tomato pots in the potting shed, one in the far corner was crammed with acorns starting to sprout. He must have been in and out through a small gap to dig in the nice soft earth.
