Perlite..

Posted: 16/08/2012 at 21:14

Hmm yes I know that perlite is a good addition for drainage, but I wondered about this particular brand is ok to use. It is called Silvalite. On the bag it does not say anything about horticultural use, just lots of info about industrial uses!! So I just wanted to make sure it was ok, (my thinking is that it is just the same as perlite, just cheaper).

Does anybody know if this perlite will be ok for plants? It says on the packaging it can be used for industrial use! I bought some and it seems to be doing the job it's supposed to

Please can somebody ID this plant?

Thank you all for your replies, I think it is a Vodoo Lily ,with a name from you guys it wasn't hard finding it)! Couldn't  for the life of me find anything similar Googling it with my description. I just kept on getting results for hemp!

I had several tons of mulch and wood bark delivered in spring and I think it may have travelled in with that!

I forgot to say I am new and it is great cyber meeting all of you
