Thank you punkdoc - those pics were a lovely treat.  Chucking it down and blowing a gale here, but guess who has to turn out at 10.30pm to retrieve a chicklet - joy.

just input my bird watch results - seems an age ago but my first chance since last weekends website problems.

weekend tomorrow - yippee.  And not January anymore so i can finally have a glass of wine - double yippee

Clari - there will be an exact recipe on the web somewhere but the principle is to boil up a bulb of garlic in a saucepan of water for a while.  You then store the liquid in the fridge and use in a sprayer.  Think you have to reapply quite frequently.  If you search for "hanging hostas of hampshire" there is a youtube clip which shows you how

Oh dear Ggirl - there seems to be a few suffering from bugs at the moment.  Hope you pick up soon - there is even sun forecast for the weekend!!

Me too  Pots in the greenhouse to keep the bugs away from the tomatoes - but nowhere else.  Haven't got any tank tops in the wardrobe either.
