Identifying plants in a new garden

4 could be exochorda 'the bride" - will be able to tell better when the flowers open.  If it is, then when the flowers are over you end up with seed pods that look like little star anise.

The RHS has partner gardens, which let RHS members in free for certain months of the year.  If you search for "partner gardens" on the RHS website there is a list of all the gardens and the months they partcipate.

Pulmonarias are lovely for early in the year - there is a white one called sissinghurst.  I have opal, which is a lovely pale blue - started flowering in January, and still going strong now.  The variegated leaves are nice when its not flowering too.

Had a lazy day til about 6 when I finally managed to build up the enthusiasm to do something productive with the day.  So have spent the last hour or so planting recent purchases, feeding pots and getting everything ready for the pricking out session that WILL happen tomorrow.  And now I feel ready for another snooze.  Need to find a DD tonic from somewhere.

Mane taming went fine - everyone still seems to recognse me
