Growing Sweet Peas 2014/2015

Posted: 06/01/2015 at 23:24

I always use loo rolls for my sweetpeas - just ignore the mould.  Works for me.  Like SL i have started collecting now, and am hoping I have a good collection by mid Feb, when I normally start them off.

Loved the gardening programs on telly tonight too.  I'm off to bed dreaming of roses.

hope Pdoc's stream behaves in the night, and that BK's worms revive.

Fidget is a wise lady - I love that button - it's been keeping my world oblivious to trouble for weeks

Morning  If peeps were meant to get up this early in the morning, why haven't we got night vision.

first day back was ok - only 4 more til the weekend

Our decs come down tonight - we count Jan 6th as twelfth night (debate rages, but it was what my Mum did, and thats good enough for me) - then it will feel really bare here too.

however, have just booked tickets for Chelsea, and for a garden festival with a friend in April which has a few good speakers..... So roll on spring

I'm with bee witched with a vote for electioneering to get put in the room - it should be banned until a fortnight before polling day..... Not sure I can take another 4 months of this twaddle

my sympathies DD - I am always like a cat on a hot tin roof when my chicklets go away too.  I'm sure he will have a great time, but that doesn't make it easier until he's back home again

plum tree or pear tree?!

I would say plums are easier too - we have a couple of each and the plums have definitely taken off quicker.  We get loads of fruit from our Victoria.  However, the small number of pears we have had are a special treat straight from the tree

Morning Dove  Builder chaos .... Aaahggg

Well this time of morning is a shock to the system.  Holidays over, back to the grindstone.  But it was a lovely holiday onwards and upwards.

better go see if I can find where I put my heels/id pass/brain .....

Very pretty, feathery foliage (which the deer don't eat) - i have mine growing in a pot and it is making a very shapely mound.  Will pop out when its light and get you a photo.

oh dear, just realised that the next time I will be home in the light is next Saturday depressing s that

I've got it too - growing nicely and produced 3 flower spikes in its first summer (deer ate them all).  Have now moved it, and am hoping for more spikes this year.
