I grew Sungold this year for the first time (in a greenhouse) and it is indeed incredibly sweet - will grow again this year. As the panto dame says, need to know about more about your planting options (oh yes we do )

New fence has ruined my garden, please help!

Hi Lauren  - copying and pasting the link worked for me (using IE). The garden looks lovely but sorry I can't get my head around exactly where the problem area is. I can obviously see the first pic which looks like a building site but can't place the area in the rest of the photos.

Potato Blight - which potato to grow

Posted: 17/12/2012 at 19:13

Emmaandsam - There are loads of local Potato Days around the country every year where you can choose from many varieties - here's an example of a website promoting them:

http://www.potato-days.net/

Spuds start at 10p a tuber at the one I go to.

I had blight for the first time this year - I was growing the varieties I ususally do, Charlotte, Red Duke of York, and a 3rd one which escapes me at the moment  and they all got it. I put it down to the weather and have fingers crossed for next year.
