Vine weevil

Posted: 22/09/2013 at 15:56

TA nothing else has been eaten and I grew the lettuce from seed. The leaves have been left but roots all gone.  I never bother growing cyclamen because they always get eaten but none of my other veg in my main veg plot have had the same issue. They are nasty little things Do they have a purpose other than to eat my grub.

I have grown some agapanthus from seed in a nice terracotta pot which is about 3 years old.......when will I get flower spikes and is there something I should do to encourage it to flower. It seems a long waiting game !

I have just cleared a space in my veg patch where my broad beans and peas were. I unfortunately have not grown anything from seed to put in the space for winter. can you suggest what I can put in the space to feed me over winter and is it too late to raise anything to grow from seed?

Broad bean

I have lovely broad beans that are bulking up nicely. However when I have picked a few to taste -yes I can never wait -the small beans seem to be a brownish colour...is this normal.? Will the mature bean be ok?

Hi, Can anyone suggest why after a couple of trusses my Tom plants look as if they have stopped growing ? The top leaves are all scrunched up!!!

I just seem to love the idea of a tiny seed coming into life (soppy old thing) and thinking ,,,cor I grew that . Thanks I will try the Lupins. Do you think they will do ok in a cold frame or should I give them some heat in the house?
