Edging for bed

Posted: 12/02/2013 at 17:08

why not dig a trench and place concrete slabs on there edge butting against each other . Please do not use old railway sleepers as these contain to many contaminants such creosote and diesel fuel oil  .

Hi Nutcutlet, They would be worth looking at but it would depend where you live like if you lived in the south of England you could grow them outside with minimal protection in winter or if you lived further north in a very sheltered garden or conservatory  .

would it be to much  ask all those who look at queries to may be give some opinion rather that leave it to what seems to be regular contributors .

North Facing

Posted: 10/02/2013 at 20:02

if the back of your house is north facing ,it does not mean that you wont get any sun . for instance as the sun climbs higher each day the shadows cast by your house will shorten . any and most flowers and shrubs would thrive in your garden giving the right position and soil quality
