would it be to much  ask all those who look at queries to may be give some opinion rather that leave it to what seems to be regular contributors .

if the back of your house is north facing ,it does not mean that you wont get any sun . for instance as the sun climbs higher each day the shadows cast by your house will shorten . any and most flowers and shrubs would thrive in your garden giving the right position and soil quality

last year on gardeners question time a lady asked if potatoes could be grown in straw or hay the answer she got was no, the straw is used as a mulch

last year an idea was put forward that if you mixed flour and water to a gloopy consistancyand put in a plastic container that the slugs would get stuck in in it  ,has anyone tried it?

why bother what wrong with real grass or if you dont want to cut it that often sow slowgrow

i blame it all on the landed gentry it was them who brought in the gray squirrel and the magpie for more game shooting out of season.
