I was very disappointed with the so called perenial plants I bought from Parker's last year and rather than just ignore it, complain, or claim compensation I wrote to Chris Dulker-Parker the owner at the end of April and drew his attention to my experience. My concern was that perennial plants should survive the year whilst mine looked dead on arrival - though the instructions claimed that was normal and they would revive - which they didnt.
I got no reply and wrote again in June to him and again no reply. Today I phoned their customer services and was told they would ring me back - they didnt, I then sent an email to which I received a totally unsatisfactory reply offering refunds for two sets of perennials as a good will gesture since my complaint had been made too late for their guarantee. I pointed out that I was primarily concerned with ensuring they were fully aware of the problem and asked for an address where I could be sure Mr Parker was aware of the initial problem and the customer care failure to respond. Instead I was told that Mr Parker had already read my letters and passed them on.
