how do I get a perfect lawn like green fingers?

Posted: 10/05/2015 at 09:30

I am sick to death of dandelions growing underneath my mower blades and setting seed when my back is turned. My grass grows at different rates,so one part will be thick and difficult to cut and another bit would have hardly grown

Any ideas what I can buy that makes a busy man have a nice lawn that is similar to what green fingers do?

Thanks for the advice. This will make my life so much easier and less stressful. I am daft,I feel sorry for seedlings that die and suppose want them all to survive just in case some are eaten by slugs, vine weevil etc.

I have started to grow some cosmos and zinnia in heated propagator, the leaves have gone mushy and they are wilting. How do I stop this from happening to my other seeds?

If you are getting rid rather than moving then advertise for someone to have it free of charge on the condition that they remove it.

Freecycle is a website that you can advertise this on,or preloved or gumtree, free of charge.

growing light advice

I am going to buy a growing light with reflector for my small outbuilding room. I've not used one before,so any advice would be gratefully received. I am planning on using a timer and grow flowers in there with an oil radiator for warmth.

I bought some lovely chrysanthemum cut flowers and they've started rooting! I've changed  the water regularly, but other than that what can I do to keep these going and eventually put them in the garden.

Thanks. I might  pull it up as it is blocking my view of prettier plants. I am always chopping and changing my garden.
