Concrete slabs. Then I will bolt them to it when they 're all level.

My parents are enjoying being active now that they have retired. The days are flying by more quickly for them apparently

The greenhouses are slowly coming together, thanks to my parents. I haven't been down for a few weeks but my parents have been putting me to shame.

I am currently behind on my garden pots, so I'm concentrating on taking out all my summer plants and putting in spring bulbs.

I will get back to it next week before work. Hopefully I can work 3 hours a day before work constructing the greenhouses and marking out the pathways. The forecast seems mild for next week

I do have a plan in mind. I am going to erect the greenhouses without glass and then place where I think is ideal. I will then mark out areas for path and borders and can see then from a logistical and orientational point of view which is best.

Then over the winter I will write down what seeds I have got(as I have been given so many)and plan my sowing calendar for next year with another plan on what will go where. I will trial the three sisters and inter cropping. I will then write down my results for experience.

I am going to put up bird feeders as I love listening to bird song whilst I am outdoors. But then I have concerns that I will be encouraging the wrong birds into my allotment or worse, rodents.

Wow! I hope my plot looks as good as both of yours.

I am going to start to build the greenhouses soon and see where they look good. I will mark everything out with pegs and twine then put my paths and greenhouse bases down. I have got lots of paving slabs to law down,so my muscles will be bulging when I am finished!

All the turf is up now. Just trying to level it off as it is all over the place. As I go along I am taking out more roots and plenty of stones. It is very time consuming.

I am not finding it a chore. I actually look forward to going down there and everyday during my break in work I am reading fruit and veg books.

I do want it done as quickly as possible though, can't imagine erecting greenhouses in the cold is fun.But I have my garden to attend to as well so I should try and relax about it.

I will try to post more photos but my phone won't let me.

Making good progress. Nearly all of the turf has been lifted.

I have been a bit distracted though with potting up 40 strawberry plants that I got from d t browns, which were on offer in the latest gardeners world magazine.

Can't wait to lift the last of the turf up as I am getting bitten by all the red ants that occupy the land.

You are right. Gardeners are so helpful and thoughtful and it is such an amazing past time that you just want to share it with everyone.

I have got lots of books but there will be lots more of collective years of experience on here.
