With lots of hyacinthodes, hybridised bluebells, scilla and what ever else you want to call them out at the minute,is it me or is it confusing?
I did have some outside but we haven't had a winter here. But the seeds might not be any good. I have some other seeds,so I thought I'd try this method.
I have never had any success growing astrantia from seed,so I am going to chill in the fridge first to trick those pesky seeds. Any advice would be great.
Thank you. I think I will keep and move when dormant.
Are the berries poisonous to dogs?
I have a tree that has self seeded next to a big cherry tree and two buddlias. Should it stay or should it go?
I plant my tulips using the lasagne method. There are hyacinths and crocuses mixed in too. These have been appreciated more this year as my wife was seriously ill and every time she looked out of the kitchen window it cheered her up.
I place tender perennials and annuals in the pots afterwards. November is busy but it is worth it.
I think it might be a campanula.
Excuse the tulip and muscari, but I think the shape is similar. Mine was in flower in January and maybe soon by the looks of it!
Only when it flowers will we have closure.
Is spring the most enjoyable season in the garden for colour and jobs?
Erysium Bowles mauve.a small shrub that flowers all year! This plant next to verbena bonariensis and buddleia proved very successful last year for me.
