Plant/Flower identification

They could all be different sorts of  chrysanthemums. They are often in bouquets as they last so well. If I like something in a bouquet I often just keep the shoot in water after the flower has finished to see if any roots grow;  win some, lose some! They're mostly not fully hardy, though, I think.

When can I put the geraniums out?

They sound like very impressive plants!

They could go outside for a treat on warm days and come in at night! Planting outside is safe after all danger of frost has passed - usually about the end of May (probably later in Scotland, though!). They don't like temperatures below 4 or 5 deg C.

Just using Tudor Black Oak from Ronseal which is pretty dark but don't know whether it matches the Cuprinol one. I think they do another dark one. as well. Don't know how it lasts, obviously! Have used 2 coats to give a good finish.

Plant Labels

At the moment, I have found a Sharpie. is the longest lasting pen outside. I cut up plastic milk bottles and write on those. They are OK in a plant pot but not so good in the soil as they don't stick into the ground firmly. Still, you can make a hole in them and tie them on to shrubs, or to label things in the shed.
