Thank you Nut.

just one problem - how d'you get into this map everyone seems to be wandering about in?   Told you I was a technophobe!  Can anyone tell this confused individual. Sounds great fun. Devon at the mo is too wet to want to remain in!!!!

Fed up with mucky clay on my wellies!

Hi Nut, thanks for response, Barnstaple nearest town, you're a star!

Hi Nut, you've been a busy one. Can you please locate me too? I'm the original technophobe!!  I am in North Devon, well I was before all the blessed wind we had today - maybe relocated to Somerset in the hurricane!!

Conserving wildlife

With more time on my hands, I'm tackling horrid areas of ivy, bindweed and other nasties but realise with things becoming more organised into flower and veg beds, there is little cover. As I tried to clear the last bit for a pea/ bean bed, I discovered the slow worms (nearly sliced them up with the spade!) I had only ever noticed before in my compost heaps.  I would willingly give up the veg bed to give these lovely creatures some cover but don't want weeds like before. Any suggestions for something  attractive but practical so that I do not lose the slow worms forever?
