The dreaded vine weevil!

Posted: 18/11/2015 at 20:30

Exactly the same thing has happened to me! Blamed the kids for pulling them out at school then had to explain to everyone about vine weevils . I have drenched all my new polyanthus plants with provado and am giving them 2 weeks for the stuff to work before I replant - weather permitting!

Welcome! Definitely take pics - great for memories and reminders of what you planted and have forgotten about. Great for us on here, we love pics

I would also recommend a wildlife camera - I bought mine from Lidl a few months ago (it will come around again) and have caught hedgehogs on it which gave me great pleasure. It also caught a fox squeezing into the hedgehog feeding box and snaffling their food!!

Are you urban or rural?

Sounds great, everyone is happy. How much do you want to reduce it by?

what would you do differently?

I wouldn't have let that sycamore sapling become what it is today - I feel I blinked and it is now a huge tree!!

Anybody's Nerines showing any sign of flowering? Mine still have lovely strap like leaves and not a sign of any emerging flower spikes yet.

Any ideas for an entry.....
