Cutting back a cherry tree

Cherry trees are best summer pruned to avoid disease. Prune now.

can you name this plant please

I too say honeysuckle. What colour were the flowers? There must have been a lovely scent and the bees etc would have visited for nectar. What a beautiful plant!

Hi Jatnikapyar, The following link might help to answer why your frogs have died. It is not uncommon to lose frogs in the summer - sad though it is...

unknown tree

These suckers have come up in my lawn, greenhouse and borders from a tree 2 doors away. I just cut them down with the lawn mower or loppers depending where they are. They get quite woody at the base and can be broken off the shallow roots. I've never tried any weedkiller but would be interested to hear how you get on if you try...

I agree with Nutcutlet. These suckers pop up in my garden from a poplar tree 2 gardens away - look around you for either the tree or a stump, ask a neighbour if one has been cut down recently.

Never been pruned. Bought it in flower about 3 years ago and only ever had 1 flower each year....its put on growth, is disease free, resides in a sheltered part of the garden, gets good sun... I just don't understand it

There is a label in the original picture - bottom right as you look at it and when I click on the picture to enlarge - bottom left. Unfortunately I can't make out the writing.

Hibiscus Handling

Posted: 26/07/2013 at 22:56

Last year my hibiscus (about 1m tall) produced 1 flower bud and therefore one flower. I put it down to the weather we had last year. And would you believe it...one bud again this year!! It has put on growth, been feed in spring, kept well waterd in this dry spell...what is going on? Any ideas?  Flummoxed in Essex!
