Hello MsBeehaven,

You can clear the Safari browser cache on an iPad in Settings Safari

(There are two options - 'Clear History' and 'Clear Cookies and Data')

Do give this a try, and please let me know if it doesn't work.

Is there a problem with the forum?

Posted: 25/09/2013 at 12:48

Hello KEF,

We're currently having problems with the site cache, which is causing the issues you mention. A developer is currently working on it.

In the meantime, do try clearing your cache of temporary browser files by simultaneously pressing Ctrl and F5 on a PC, or Cmd and R on a mac. This will hopefully cause the list of threads and posts to update, and also for your messages to update.

Apologies for the problem - I'm hoping a permanent fix will be implemented shortly.

Hello everyone,

The developers are still looking at the problem. Apologies for the frustration caused.

Until the full fix is implemented, do try a 'hard refresh' of your browser cache by simultaneously pressing Ctrl and F5 on a PC, or Cmd and R on a mac. This should cause the latest threads and posts to display.

WIN page - lack of ENTER button on URN Competition !

Posted: 25/09/2013 at 11:26

Hello Irenejanine,

Our developers are currently working on the problem with the site cache, which is likely to be causing the problem with the submit button not appearing.

Before they implement a fix, it's worth clearing your cache of temporary browser files by simultaneously clicking the Ctrl and F5 keys on a PC, or Cmd and R keys on a mac (with the browser as the active window). If you still can't see the 'submit' button, please drop us a line at website@gardenersworld.com, stating your chosen competition answer, and we can submit your entry for you, so you don't miss the closing deadline.

Apologies for the problem.

Unable to order offers

Posted: 04/09/2013 at 17:25

Hello Lindsay,

Apologies for the problem you've experienced accessing the order. The following link should work:

http://www.thompson-morgan.com/GW685

We've found in the past that some users have been unable to access the links because they type the link printed in the magazine into the search field of their browser, rather than the address bar, usually located top left.

If you have any further difficulties, do please let me know.

Forum up the creek

Posted: 07/08/2013 at 16:18

Hello everyone,

An update of sorts on the problem with the notification emails...

I've just had a meeting with our helpdesk manager, who advised me that the problem is affecting several of the websites they manage, so it seems to be an issue with the publishing platform we use. A developer is working on the issue. Once the fix is found then it has to go through a rigorous testing process, to check it works on different web browsers, operating systems, mac/PCs etc As there are so many different permutations of browser and operating system, this takes some time. Once cleared, it will be scheduled into the next weekly site build, during which any updates / amendments / bug fixes are published to the live server.

So, this means we're looking at an approximate two-week period before the fix is live on the website. I appreciate this is far from ideal - it's frustrating for us too when things don't work as they should - but we are working on it, and we are aware how important the forum is to many of you.

I'm sorry that the news isn't better, but I hope you'll continue to use the forum in the meantime. Thank you again for bearing with us.
