Hello budlia63,

I'm afraid it isn't possible to directly upload individual video files to the forum. One of the reasons for this is that videos can have very large file sizes, and we have restrictions on the file size of uploads. The only way to upload videos is by the method explained in my earlier post - using the image upload tool to embed either a YouTube or Google Video clip. So, if you want to share you clip here you'll need to upload it to one of those services first, then link to it in your post.

I hope this helps.

Daniel

Daniel Haynes, help

Posted: 17/10/2012 at 22:22

Hello again. Dovefromabove is quite right that we don't influence the screen 'nickname' that people choose when registering with the site. We request that people don't register company names or commercial web addresses, but beyond that the choice is theirs. If anybody does have any concerns, then do use the 'Report to moderator' function.

Thanks,

Daniel

Where is Nigel?

Posted: 17/10/2012 at 17:51

Hello everyone. I've checked with the programme team, and have been assured that Nigel will be appearing again soon. He's a family pet, and isn't always in the garden on filming days, but he will be back!

Daniel Haynes, help

Posted: 17/10/2012 at 17:45

Hello verdun, Thanks for your post and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I would like to echo the sentiments posted above, and hope that you will continue participating in the forum. I'm happy to say that the gardenersworld.com forum is generally a friendly, constructive place, where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and opinions - we get comparatively little of the 'sniping and griping' that is all too familiar on other forums. Long may that continue! I hope we'll be hearing more from you.

(If anyone does come across any behaviour they think is inappropriate, or contrary to our forum code of conduct, do please use the 'Report the moderator' function, and we'll look into it. Alternatively, feel free to direct message me.)

T & M OFFER FOR MAY

Posted: 08/10/2012 at 16:29

Hello plant pot mad,

I'm sorry you've had trouble ordering the 21 free perennials online. I've just tested the link and it is still working. You can access it directly here:

http://www.thompson-morgan.com/GW630

Please be assured that we do test the links before publication to ensure they are working. We have found in the past that usually people experience problems with the offer links for one of two reasons:

  • They are typing the address in the search engine field (usually to the right of the browser), rather than the web address field (usually on the left)
  • They are not typing the web address exactly as printed in the magazine – often not including the ‘www’, or the hyphen

I hope you now manage to access the offer. Please let me know if not.

Password

Hello MIkeP,

Apologies for the confusion with the password reset link. At present, the only route to this is via the 'Forgotten your password?' link, at the sign in stage. I'll ask our tech team if they can add a password reset function o the 'My settings' area, for users who are already signed in.

Best,
