How to give feedback about the new site

Posted: 08/02/2012 at 18:30

Hello happymarion. We don't have any immediate plans to have a garden programme listings page on the site - our friends at radiotimes.com have got TV listings down to a fine art, so we link to them at the bottom of each page of the site. We're currently working hard on other forthcoming new features, such as the weather forecast for gardeners, but we'll add your suggestion to the list!

Hello Kieran, I'm pleased to hear that your Scrapbook is now working OK - please accept my apologies for the problem.

Sorry, too, daffodilly that you've experienced difficulties. Are you still having trouble accessing your Scrapbook. If so, do let me know, and I'll ask our technical team to look into it for you.

Thanks,

Talkback: How to grow aubergines

Posted: 06/02/2012 at 17:36

Good luck with that, supersuzie1 - do keep us posted.

Phil3 - you can start off aubergines in a small heated propagator (please see link below), but the plants do need heat once they've outgrown that. It might be worth a try anyway, and we might be blessed with a sufficiently hot summer to ripen the fruits. Or, alternatively, consider a crop that doesn't feel the cold quite as much!

kimi2000 - do take a look at our practical guide to growing aubergines, and Kate Bradbury's blog on the subject. Good luck

Hello plainleaf. In response to your question, the price for the digital edition includes 20% VAT, which is applicable to digital editions, but not print magazines. The most cost-effective method of purchasing the magazine is by taking out a subscription, and soon (spring) we'll be offering a free digital copy to print subscribers. I hope this answers your question.

Hello SkyeSteve, thanks for your message, which I've just picked up and will respond to shortly. Just click your name at the top right of the screen (when you're logged in), and the number of messages will appear in brackets: 'My messages (1)'.
To access your Scrapbook, again, just click your name, top right, and click 'My scrapbook'. Do let me know if you have any further problems.

Hello daffodilly, I'm sorry if you're experiencing problems accessing your Scrapbook. Is it not appearing at all, or is there a more specific problem? If you can give me a little detail, I'll look into it for you.

Work in Progress

Commiserations about the log stack, Eddie! That must have been very galling. You're quite right that there are never enough hours in the day for gardening, and this can be true of plots much smaller than your own. Don't be discouraged, though, by your amazing achievements so far. And don't feel that you have to tackle it all at once - you can always call uncultivated areas your 'wildlife garden'!

You might find our video on wave planting, featuring Carol Klein, useful when planning how to fill large spaces. Keep up the good work!

Hello Eddie. Many thanks for taking the time to upload these photographs. What an achievement, and an extraordinary amount of work. I love the log stacks, the spiral and bird bath in particular.

It's great to hear that you enjoy the magazine, so much Ziggy. Regarding the digital editions, we’ve been working hard to find a way to deliver these to our valued subscribers and we think we’re nearly there. Your free digital editions should be available this spring...
