Hello Purple Queen, thanks for the query - a member of the team will be in contact with you on Monday, when they're back in the office.

Reply to Lyn: I'm very sorry that you've not heard anything about your subscription. I've passed your message on to the subscriber customer service team and asked somebody to contact you as a matter of priority on Monday.

Why has a thread disqppeared? Who decided?

Posted: 20/11/2015 at 16:55

Hello everyone,

There wasn't any censorship involved here - the thread was deleted solely because it had degenerated into bickering. We haven't had to enforce the 'no bickering' policy for a while, I'm pleased to say, but we will continue to remove threads if we have another outbreak of negativity / personal attacks etc

As dovefromabove suggests, do please feel free to start another thread on this topic.

Hello Stephen. Our technical team is currently in the process of rebuilding the forum, to make it fully 'responsive' so it works better on all devices. This project will include an upgrade of the email notifications, to stabilise the service and iron out all of the bugs that people are currently experiencing. The technical team is focusing entirely on the new version at the moment, so I'm told there won't be any more work on the current service. Do please bear with us while this work is going on - it's a big project, but it will go live later in the year.

Hello Stephen / NGLittleSeedlings,

I'm sorry you're not receiving the email alerts - I'll double-check with the technical team if there are any problems with the service. I've also asked our data team to check why your weekly email newsletter isn't coming through.

Reply to annmarie: the faces/emojis only appear if you choose 'Advanced editor' in the forum section of 'My settings', which you can access by clicking your username, top right-hand corner of the screen.

Gardening gloves and sweaty hands

Hello everyone,

Cathy43 is quite right to point out that "there are no such thing as stupid questions, only questions we don't know the answer to yet and the only way to find the answer is to ask."

It's important that everybody feels comfortable posting a question here, particularly if they're new to gardening, without fear of ridicule. We all have to start somewhere!

Hello Orchid Lady and Singing Gardener,

The bank holiday has affected production/print schedules, so the June issue is shipping a few days later than usual. You should receive your copy either today or tomorrow - do please let us know if not!

Hello Gertie Grass and flowers in the rain,

I'm sorry that you're having trouble posting images on the forum. A couple of things to check:

The images you upload need to be in jpeg or jpg format.

They should be less than 2mb in file size. If your files are larger you'll need to reduce them in size - there's a free app for iPad which will do this here:

I hope that helps!
