Hello plant pauper - the pinch and zoom function for pictures is something we’re coming to in the next batch of fixes, as outlined at the start of this thread.

Yes, it is a priority to make the forum mobile friendly. There are glitches in any new product launch - that always happens. That’s why we’re diligently collating all feedback and Nora is asking people for Support Details submissions, so we can replicate any particular problems people are experiencing and fix them. So, if people on tablets or phones are having trouble we absolutely are committed to resolving them.

We couldn’t make the forum mobile friendly by flipping a switch - it had to be completely rebuilt from scratch, so we can’t launch a project on that scale without teething problems. Yes, beta testing would have helped, but we are where we are and we couldn’t have made any greater effort over the last week to remedy that than we have.

I was clear that we wouldn’t have a perfect forum by the end of this week, but we have made progress. I’m afraid that if you complain to us that we've replaced features that disappeared there’s absolutely nothing we can do with that - we can only act on constructive, practical feedback.

Thanks, Dove!

LG the L - thanks and you obviously have impeccable taste.

Signing off for the evening now. Thanks again, everyone - we'll follow up on specific feedback tomorrow.

Yes, KEF, we considered ditching that when looking for ways to save vertical space on the listing pages,  but we felt that it was too useful to lose...

plant pauper - the problem we have here is that colour varies massively from device to device. Not even 'pure white' will display consistently between phones, tablets and laptops. It looks very green on some screens, much less so on others. What we were aiming for, rather than everybody's ideal definition of green, was a fairly muted shade that didn't glare or demand too much attention - it's supposed to provide a comfortable background. There's no way we'll achieve consensus on colour, unfortunately - tastes vary so wildly.

Thanks obelixx. We'll certainly look further at spacing / design detail - I don't know yet what we can do and what we can't.

Re: Ad Blocker, that will create blank spaces, but I'll maintain a discreet silence on that score...

It is green plant pauper - just a rather muted, 'grown up' shade of green. But colour is very subjective, isn't it - one person's 'muted green' is another person's 'mucky tea towel'...

My mum is very old LG the L - so she probably wouldn't mind (and it's her birthday tomorrow, so she'll be even older).
