Sorry that you're still having trouble with the edit post feature. Could you confirm what browser (and version number) you're currently using, what operating system and whether you're using a mac or a PC?
I've referred the problem about the indexing of the posts on your settings page.
LIkewise, I will certainly ask if it is possible to incorporate the description box in the thread (which I think would certainly be a better solution than removing it entirely).
All technical development requests and queries that we submit go into a queue, and are assigned a priority. So, issues like broken links, or a page failing to load correctly, will be dealt with before 'nice to have' improvements, which will be further back in the queue. This is isn't because of a lack of concern on our part, it's simply about making the best use of the finite resources that we have. Our very diligent team of developers look after other sites than gardenersworld.com, so they have quite a list of jobs to work through! 
It is very helpful to have feedback, and while we can't implement all suggestions, we do give very serious consideration to the comments that are posted.
