I'm in the northwest, bodes anyone know if arum llilies help clear the water, I once read this on google or is it just a myth?

Hi iv recently put a arum lily in my pond and just wondering if it will survive?

Its in a aquatic basket and the top half of the plant is out the water

Also when winter comes am I best to lift it out the pond and put it in the shed till spring? 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When's the best time to put new pond plants in, should I put them in while they are dormant or leave to spring summer when the plants have some greenery on them, plants I'm looking to put in the pond are yellow iris, arum Lilly and the normal pond lilly

What would be best in the deeper side about 2ft? Apart from water Lille, would iris' or lythrum salicara be any good?

There are various ledges all the way around, varing from 1ft to some 2ft, the pond is a formal one that is 10ft long by 8ft wide, would an arum lily be ok in these depths of water?

I planted a clematis this year which didn't flower and has now turned brown like its dead, can anyone tell me if I should leave it alone or pull it up?

can anyone help............I want to move my laurels but unsure if firstly they will survive and secondly when is the best time to do this? They are not huge shrubs approx about 2ft wide by 4ft high.
