Is now the time to move a rose?

Hi can anybody terll me if now ( feb 2014) is a good time to move a rose? Our garden was damaged in the strong winds and I took it as an opportunity to relandscape it. Now I would like to move a rose but not sure if I can. The ground is good, not overly wet and the soil is good.

to Landgirl100. Thank you for your advice. I try not to use chemicals so I guess I now have to decide if I want to keep this particular rose ( my garden and this rose were badly neglected summer 2012 ) or buy a new one.

Also meant to say that my skimia which is planted in a different garden has the same problem. If you can help with that too I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi could anybody please tell me why my Hypericum androsaemum's leaves are turning yellow? I have had it for 5 -6 years and have never noticed it happening before. It is in a semi shaded position. Do I need to use a fertiliser or something more radical. I prefer not to use toxic chemicals as I have some nice wildlife visiting the garden. Please help if you can. Thank you

Talkback: How to make a wooden planter

I have been thinking of making some raised beds to grow vegetables and salad crops next year. I love the design of this planter so I think I will make it or a few. They will sit nicely on my deck.
