I've ordered some Polka to replace the diseased canes.
Maybe my everbearers are different, I find if they have been kept off the ground they don't rot, I took a photo on Sat then 4 days later after being on the windowledge
today and some of them have ripened ok.
The strawberries are still producing loads of fruit but it's not ripening any more and the slugs are now going for the unripe ones. Will they ripen on the windowsill if I take them off? Should I take off all the leaves and fruit now?

The leaves turn brown and the canes are stunted. The limey soil doesn't help but they are usually better than this. Hopefully the pic uploaded OK so you can see the problem.
