The word "vinegar" comes from the French, who named it "vin aigre," which, interestingly enough, directly translates to sour wine.

Be good when the weather picks up!

Personally think having Easter as a fixed date is good idea

Well, least my tatties would know where they stood.

Frank mentioned rearing salmon, but I think (in the present climate) it would be more feasible to do something like rearing frozen fish.

Given up on the idea of growing rice, the paddy field is now an ice rink.

Could someone explain to me how to insert a photo in here?
I'm really new at this but would love to share photos with you of my side of the World.

Ginger, there a couple of ways of inserting you photos to this site.

One is from a Photobucket (or other) account and the other is directly from your pc.....the latter is the easiest.

On the right of the toolbar above where you write your messages, you will see a little green tree icon. Click on this and it will open a window headed 'insert an image', on its toolbar it will ask 'your computer' or 'external site' (in this instance) select 'your computer'.

On the option 'select files to upload'.....this will take you to your computer files, select the picture you wish to insert, then click upload (the times of this uploading varies according to your pc's speed) then click save.

Hope I haven't missed anything out.....good luck & look forward to seeing some sunny shots.
