Growing Sweet Peas

Hope so, Tracey.....you deserve them.

Hope you don't get storm damage like we've had here today. I've just returned home having visited the Peak District and there must have been a heck of a storm while I was away......given the damage & mud around.

While we were in Bakewell at lunchtime there was a heavy thunderstorm.

My first picking of Sweet Peas!

Can't get the bluddy cursor to flash outside of the quote box... but, hey-ho!

As predicted in my post (don't know if you read it) on 27/05/14......well done.

They're a credit it to you, NE.....I've only had them from pots so far, but the first earlies from the garden shouldn't be too long.

As one who has just stumbled across this 'debate' and thus impartial, may I offer polite reminder that there is a strictly enforced 'no bickering' rule on this forum?

You have been warned.

Frank, you're the best!

Would give you a hug...cept it isn't what old soldiers do.

Yes, KEF......some old names there, even before my time. My own interest was probably in the mid-sixties.

Been around this gardening malarkey for longer than I realise sometimes.

This is a beautiful, tiny little church near me.

Scott - that was the one & only church pic I had on file.   I do like to see churchyard pics and we do have some really nice examples locally......even stained glass windows are an art in themselves.

This  picture was taken in late evening sunlight when the shadows were long and is of the  oldest building in my town......it's the 12th century church named 'Old Chancel'.
