Alternative to usual shed roof felting

Posted: 15/12/2014 at 11:35

Sadly I didn't spot this thread until just now. I agree, the felt used in initial construction is feeble and probably only has a lifespan of a couple of years.

I recently had my summerhouse & shed/workshop re-felted. The process (although a little more expensive than normal felting) is far superior and I received a 25 year written guarantee with mine.

This process involves laying a base felt to the shed roof using heat (after stripping the old felt) to this base felt a heavy mineral felt is added using a blowtorch, the two then bond tacks or nails are used.

Just another option.

Glad to see you have decided to stay....I'm just bracing myself for another 'sorry' thread.

From a non-dancer, Jake has done fantastically well, but in reality not progressed too far beyond a good party dancer and (IMHO) it was his time to go. Mark is marginally better but still far, far behind the other three.

Roll-on next week!

Well that's just like me DK.

Bless! xx Just a detail, but I mentioned it to explain my doubt about it working...I'm pretty sure those via YouTube will work.

Thanks for starting your 'Gran' thread, really hope she heeds the replies.

I'm reminded about this great song as it was one of the dance numbers in tonight's Strictly:
