Again may I impose on you Forkers wot are renowned for their culinary prowess.
Cooked some Sockeye salmon for lunch today and was rather surprised by the results. Although I rarely cook anything in the microwave, I do usually use it for cooking all types of fish.
As normal, I placed this salmon in a heatproof dish with a little water, seasoned, covered it with cling-film, pierced it & cooked it for 3 mins.
During the cooking period there pops & bangs taking place within the microwave and when retrieved, the salmon looked more akin to mashed tinned salmon.
I don't understand as this has never happened with the farmed salmon I usually buy.
Have cleaned the salmon spottled microwave oven now!
