Hello Joyce, yes I did visit the Kelvingrove museum and Art gallery and what a wonderful experience that was. I feel that I need another week to see it all.

My Glaswegian friend was delighted at my enthusiasm for the city of her birth and knew all the places that I visited.

Thanks

Thanks Dove, the Botanical gardens are well worth visiting and would be even better in the spring. The  domes are good to brouse around too and all this is free as are the wonderful museums and art galleries!

Thanks all for your welcome. I have been away in Glasgow so have only just seen your messages. For everyone who lives in Glasgow you have a wonderful city and you are all so friendly!

I really hope to go again some day.

That sounds wonderful as botanical gardens are a particular interest of mine. Glasgow sounds like a great city to visit. I think we will need all of our two days to fit everything in. Thanks again Joyce.

thank you  Joyce for the info, we shall certainly look those places up. I think we are staying in that area so the first job is to get a map!  My friends booked it up so haven't got all the details. They are coming up from Cornwall on the train so it will be quite s journey for them. I hope they remember their woolies as I imagine the temperature may be a little cooler up there in Scotland!

HELLO FORKERS! November Edition

Hello, I am new to this forum so am a little puzzled by the comments posted by Pat!  Do you live in Austrslia or are you relating a dream about planting up tomatoes! You certainly wouldn't get much joy from seeds and planting up tomatoes here in the UK Just now. I miss my gardening terribly now that winter is almost upon us.

I haven't posted anything for a long time and am trying to get my head around this new format. Can anyone please tell me how do I post a new thread? There does not seem to be a post indicator anywhere. I would be so grateful for some info!  Thanks
