I am one very lucky guy, I was awarded one of these little guys FOC from work!

have researched, but very conflicting views!

Some say ericaceous, some say not, some say it grows roots, others say it doesn't!

It is going in a Japenese themed water garden, well that is the aim! But has to be in a pot, as the garden is a two sets of decking split by a coi pond with a bridge connecting the two!

Thinking ericaceeous, mulched with bark chippings, in a pot 3 inch wider pot than trunk!

Any thoughts guys!

I really wanna give it a good start in life! Saying that, it is four foot high n six inch thick! This is not a baby!

Here they are un-fleeced in March, Wasn't expecting that much snow!  So they have had a bit of a rough time!

Here they are yesterday

They are beggining to pick up, and are quite an hardy crop, so I really wouldn't worry that much to be honest!

My Philosophey is, they either take, or they don't!

Which is the later regarding the onions in the rear bed, so they shall be "Hauked Out" tomorrow to make way for an Asparagus bed!

Good fun this Gardening jobby init?  All the very best with it!

Goldi!

Do not be disheartened at the state of other people's plot's, He is probably a retired guy with that sort of time on his hands!

Allotmenteering is hard work n time consuming to begin with, as only my two home gardens can answer to this last year!

But with a bit of hard work n devotion, they pay back in dividends! Believe me! I did it last year n shall continue too!

I just loved walking home with a huge trug of homegrown stuff to deliver to my three daughters!

All the very best of luck with it!
