Hi David, My sweet peas have sprouted! Its 10c in the garage .I moved them under grow lights, how long should I keep them inside ,they have no leaves yet. It is cold here and would like to know what temp it should be to put them in a cold frame. thanks   Debra

I did get out, evetually,one nice man and his girl friend dug us out and pulled with his truck.I got his address and plan on sending him a gift card for a nice meal.I would have rather been sitting in the greenhouse with the rain,drumming planting seeds ,it does sound so cozy and peaceful.

I too saw a flock of geese flying over head yesterday, whilst stuck in my truck in 3 feet of snow and still not a plow in sight ! Not one person stopped to help,thats new york for you.Oh spring where are you.I want to be in the garden.

has anyone heard of growing them in hay. I think I will try this , and see how that goes.You dont have to dig! Just put down a layer of newspaper then the potatoes then some compost and layer with hay,  as they grow more hay . til harvest time.

I would have to say a large white clematis that rambles through the  arborvites,  so pretty.I was just out side knocking the snow off them.We had a blizzard here last night on long island and not a plow in sight. Debra
