hi all ,I was wondering if anyone has tried to grow artichokes from seed.I think you are to start them now ,and they need to be kept in the frig for a while. I would love to hear from someone who would know .  thanks Debra

Hi david glad to see you are back. hope you are sweet peas that you helped me with were beautiful and they smell gorgeous I had never seen sweet peas before ,and i am now hooked. those are lovley little ann mine were not as well planed as yours ,maybe next season.     ta debra

I make tomato chutney and can in mason jars ,like you would  jam.It  is great with cheese.If you would like the recipe I will post it. It is really good.

thanks I will do that .It blooms in the spring and it blooms again in the fall.

Hi little ann ,I planted 8 chitted seeds.John and lead farmer what lovely flowers.the  beds look so lush.

I have a clematis I think its henry.I dont know what group it is.I have had it for years .I dont prune it because it always grew on old wood, this year it grew on the top and nothing on the bottom.Should I cut it way down and see what happens ,I dont want to kill it its so pretty.It has big white flowers and is growing on large arborvites

I grew them in a 3 foot by 3 foot cardboard box on the ground and as the spuds grew i covered them with compost.thats it.very easy.I dont like to dig .

I think i put my photo of potatoes, i grew in a cardboard box on the wrong site.It is on the garden gallery photo site.Take a look i put in 7 chitted potatoes and got about 10 pounds.It was just a thrill to get any at all. debra
