Pansyface that reminded me of one I took a few years back of Ben Nevis on a sunny day.

'My husband and I'( as Queenie says) think the voting for shows like this and Xfactor should be for us to vote for the one we want to go home and not the one we want to stay. Because that would be fairer.

I recommend Carol Klein's Life in a cottage garden. This is written like a diary as well. Great photos as well as tips and hints. You don't have to be into cottage style gardening to find it useful. It is £20 new but well worth it. You may find it cheaper in a charity shop like I did.£3 bargain!

I also watch their feet, as I used to compete in Ballroom and Latin in my youth. So I agree with Len's comments each week. Yes it's an entertainment prog but the dancing sometimes seems to come second place to the posturing and posing in my view.

I also agree with Panda, that the costumes detracted from the dancing.

And poor Anton! Does he get to choose a partner or do they pick the most awkward women for him?

I too have a dark corner of a room, and have tried all sorts of plants but eventually they expire, so I was pleased to see this thread. I think I'll buy a peace lily, though I was looking for something quite tall. Any suggestions?

who's a naughty boy then? (in my garden)

Diamond drops on Alchemilla leaves.

These last 4 pics were taken at Beth Chatto's garden this summer. I go there a lot as it's so peaceful and beautifully inspiring.

This orchid looks like a creature.

This passionflower was the size of a 10p piece! But still perfect.

 Banana plant.

I loved the reflection from the glass roof.

Taken in August at Kew Gardens. This was hanging down but I don't know how to turn it on here. Banana flower.

Well worth  a visit if you've never been. I took hundreds of photos but won't bore you with any more!
