Is this a euphorbia

Thank you lilylouise. It looks a bit like one of the picture but a very different colour.

I'm determined to get the photo on, but still not sure why it rejects it.

Is this a euphorbia

I have this growing in the garden, but it is something the birds must have brought. It looks like a euphorbia to me but I can't find a picture of it online or in any of my gardening books. Anyone out there got an idea please?

Tried to load photo but message says this is not a valid file. Any help gratefully recieved.

Many thanks Frank. I did find out that one of them is a cyprus spurge from the Wiki photos. I'll try to post a photo of the red leaved one I've got and see if anyone on here can name it for me. It's a very delicate one on a long stem with just the foliage at the top very sparsly leafed. Difficult to explain, yes I'll try the photo tomorrow.

I have 3 euphorbias in my garden, but only one of them I have planted. The birds have bought the others in, hence I don;t know what their names are. Anyone know of a web site with pictures that I can use to identify the unknown plants. I hoped that the national collection shown on GW the other week might be able to help , but they just list all the names without photos.

Snails

Someone suggested to me to put the snails in my compost bin, as they will get to work on the contents. Am I encouraging them to breed there making things worse? I suppose as the lid is a tight fit they can't get out, but not sure it's a good idea.

Compost, they reckon !!!

After seeing all the complaints on here I decided to try something different this year and bought 2 60ltr sacks of Westland+ mpc from Range. £10 for 2. It says it is 50%peat and 50% West+ wood fibre. It's lovely stuff, rich and dark and crumbly, just like the cheap ones used to be. I know it contains peat, but the other stuff just wasn't good enough for my plants. No point in spending a lot of money on plants for pots then killing them off in rubbish compost. Just wish I had more room to make enough of my own. I bought Westlands 'Surestart' seed and cutting compost as well and that looks better than the last bag I had from B&Q.
