my vic. plum is showing signs of silverlesf on one branch. the tree has fruited and has plums on the infected branch as well as the rest of the tree. is the fruit safe to eat or should it be destroyed along with infected parts

my victoria plum has only fruited every other year.  Is this normal or does it need some kind of feed. Any ideas?
