I read the other day on one of Monty's reply's to taking buddleia cuttings. He said take a shoot 1-2 ft long and cut it into 6" cuttings, remove all but two leaves from each bit and reduce the leaves by half. I will take another look at it tomorrow.
Thanks, yes it is a perennial poppy, in the past I've just left the stalks there as i liked the look of them. I have just cut them back now.
I cleared off a garage roof of years of rotted down greenery. I collected it all up because it looks like good compost, when tipping the bugs out i have come across a lot of these grubs.
Thanks Chrissy, yes it was going a bit mad so i cut it in half and gave it to next door, is it a ground covering plant.
This had a few spikey purple flowers a couple of weeks back.
Can anyone tell me what these are, tag lost.
I have bought 6 of these plants and looking at some pictures on line they have a nice spread. Thing is, will it grow to its full size this season, or should i put maybe 3 of them in a 14" basket ?
