MONTY DON...disparu encore une fois?

Posted: 15/03/2014 at 18:46

I really like Monty and I would love a garden like his.  I know not many people have a garden as big as that, and some of the projects he has done I would just scale down suit my own garden. Gardeners World is, as always very informative and enjoyable. Keep up the good work Monty.

Beautiful photos marion, I haven't got any tulips out yet, how lucky are you. I too have had a lovely day in the garden, the weather has been glorious here in Bournemouth. You are right marion, gardening does give you an appetite.

My Hyacinths are just pushing out the perfume, I have quite a few dotted around the front garden, they seem to have done really well this year.

I had to move my Jasmines as next doors fence was damaged in the winds we had. I have had to lift them and they are now in the back garden. I have given them a prune and they seem to be ok. I will not be moving them again, they can stay where they are. Mine are winter Jasmine, I've still got lovely yellow flowers on them. I do't think they were out of the ground long enough to know what was going on.

Does anyone talk to their plants?

Posted: 12/03/2014 at 19:05

I talk to my plants, say good morning and good night to them and tell them how good they looking, I know, I'm weird but they seem to respond well.

Verdun, what are you like!!

Bought three lovely Geraniums from Lidl this morning, they are really strong sturdy plants. I have potted them into terracotta pots and they look lovely, l have put them in the greenhouse for now. Hope you are able to get the things you want Duncan, that's really pants that you are working so late.

Please keep this thread going, your writings about your garden Marion is lovely, always so interesting. Your garden is just beautiful and full of colour already. If you ever write a book about your gardening, I would love to buy a copy.

Sowing mad!

I started my tomatoes off at the begging of February and they are all growing really well. I have got a heated greenhouse and heated propagators to help them along. I've also got Marigolds, Lobelia, Cosmos, Aster, Brussels Sprout, Lettuce all growing well. It doesn't matter how big the greenhouse, it is never big enough

I have used their compost and I didn't like very much, but their seeds are brilliant, I have had any fail at all. I will be going to Lidl on Thursday, they have got some lovely Geraniums on offer. I've had their plants before and they are very good.
