I've seen one growing and blooming on the beach at Blakeney Point, North Norfolk.

On the few occasions I've had access to enough wild garlic I've used pine nuts, but I imagine that toasted and skinned hazelnuts would be delicious too.

10.9C here at the moment Hosta .... but still a chilly wind ... however, next week looks as if it's warming up a bit

Re people taking photos at incident scenes ... the newspapers and various websites pay well for photos like that taken by the public   That's why people do it.

OH and I were just saying that this morning Topbird;  with absolutely no hesitation men and women calmly went towards what could have been  continuing escalating danger to give help and comfort to the injured and frightened;  Douglas Ellwood too.

Heroes every one of them.

I don't plant tender stuff out until the end of May/early June here in Norfolk.  In this garden that includes runner beans, courgettes, sweet corn, ipoemea and any summer bedding.

Tomatoes and chillies go out even later as they need warmer temps in order to continue growing strongly.

Thought so - you need to pay to advertise on the Gardeners World website ... contact details at the foot of the page.

Do you think they're basing their dates on temperatures in towns and cities, which are always warmer ... even here on the edge of the city we're chillier than in the city centre, whereas out in the countryside temps are considerably lower.

But that would constitute an advertisement, which is surely not the intention ... Is it?
